Heal Your Inner Being.
My health journey started
because it had to start. In my early twenties, I took terrible care of myself. I was not a well-BEING at all! I lacked self-love. To rephrase, I had NO self-love. I chain-smoked, drank coffee exclusively, ate poorly and drank alcohol way too much. I was ridiculously thin and survived on very little sleep. I could go days without sleep. When I had my “quarter-life crisis” at 24 years old, I started to make the changes that I so desperately needed to make. I became a student of wellness
and the disciple it took to take special care of me. I changed my beliefs about self-care and the belief I was worthy of that love.
Early in my healing journey, I had a naturopath tell me that I had the cell count of someone who was severely overweight, ate junk food all day and drank heavily. The next professional said to me if I did not change my stress level, I would suffer neurologically later in life. So, that isn’t
good.
Why does it take a crisis call for us to make change? I would much rather check in early now and see how I am feeling so I can change before an extreme health challenge settles in. I listened to a life-changing video series called “The Energy Summit.” The co-host Jason Prall said, “We do whatever we want to our bodies for fifty years, then we show up at the doctor and say, “Fix Me.” Agreed Jason, agreed. I would
much rather go on my healing journey so I can avoid a packed doctor's office. This month, I will share what it takes to move the dial toward greater wellness. It does not happen overnight; there is no quick fix.
What can you do a little bit better every day to achieve greater wellness? I was gifted a reading with a medical medium. She said in the most loving voice, “If you wouldn’t have taken the steps you did thirty-one years
ago to change your health, you would probably be dead by now.” Wow. Message received. I would have missed a lot.
This month let’s focus on healing our inner being.
